Last updated: 2 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how eLearning Academy Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and services. It also outlines your rights under data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. What Data We Collect

a) Personal Data

We may collect the following data when you interact with us:

  • Name and email address
  • Login or account details (if applicable)
  • Enquiry messages submitted via our contact form
  • Course activity and progress
  • Purchase and access history

b) Usage Data

Automatically collected data may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device information
  • Pages visited

c) Cookies and Tracking

Our website does not set any cookies of its own, so you won’t see a cookie banner. This section explains what cookies are, and when they may be used if you log in to our learning portal or use other services linked from our site.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is placed onto your computer (or other electronic device) when you access a website. Your web browser places cookies on your hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about you.

Cookies fall into two categories based on how long they last:

  • Session cookies expire as soon as you close your browser. They are used to keep track of your activity during a single visit, for example keeping you logged in as you move between pages.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device after your browser is closed, for a set period of time. They are used to remember your preferences or settings the next time you return to the site.

How we use cookies

The pages of our own website do not set cookies, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Cookies are only used in the following cases.

If you log in to our learning portal, it is run on Moodle, which sets the following cookies:

  • MoodleSession (Strictly Necessary)
Maintains your session while logged in. This is required for the platform to function and is deleted when you log out or close your browser.
  • MOODLEID (Functional)
Stores your username for convenience on the login page. You can refuse this cookie without affecting access; it simply means you’ll need to retype your username next time.

Strictly necessary cookies are required for a service to run. Without them, parts of the service will not function. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies on our own pages, we do not show a cookie banner.

Third-party services

Some features of our site are provided by other companies, who may set their own cookies or receive information such as your IP address (see Section 5):

  • Vimeo provides the videos shown on our site. We ask Vimeo not to track you. Even so, when a page with a video loads, Vimeo receives your IP address and browser details, and its security provider may set a cookie to protect against automated abuse.
  • Formspree processes the messages you send through our contact form, and may set cookies on its own pages when you do.
  • Stripe processes payments, and may set cookies to help prevent fraud when you pay.
  • LinkedIn and Vimeo links: these are ordinary links in our footer. Those sites only set cookies if you choose to visit them.

These third parties are responsible for the cookies they set and we have no control over them. For further information on how their cookie policies work, please visit their websites.

Managing cookies

You can manage cookies yourself by setting your web browser to refuse cookies, delete cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. You can manage your cookie settings through your web browser’s help or settings menu.

Please note that if you change or block cookies:

  • Some parts of our website may not function properly or as well as they otherwise might
  • Changes will apply across all websites that you visit (unless you choose to block cookies only from particular websites)
  • The settings that you change will only apply on the device on which you change them and will not apply across all other devices that you use

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please get in touch at info@elearning-academy.co.uk.
